Virtual Meeting Decorum
In general, the Florida Statutes provide that during an HOA board meeting, homeowners have three minutes to speak on any HOA topic and once the board portion of the meeting begins, the board can conduct the business of the meeting without comments from the floor. Homeowner’s comments will be muted until after the meeting has been called to order and the HOA Manager has opened the floor to the homeowners. Homeowners making comments/interrupting during the board portion of the meeting may be muted so the board can proceed with the agenda items of the meeting. Virtual board meetings for HOA’s are new for us so if everyone is patient and courteous the meeting will run smoothly and everyone should get a chance to be heard!
